As I began to review Rift guides, Xerxes Guide came up again and again. I finally decided to check it out and put together this Xerxes Guide review for all my readers to check out.
A Breath of Fresh Air
After suffering through several Rift guides which ranged in quality from incomprehensible drivel to unremarkable, I have to say that Xerxes Guide is a breath of fresh air.
This guide actually lives up to the promises made on the homepage and makes a commendable effort to condense everything you need to know about Rift into one solid product.
Everything You Need In A Rift Guide
Xerxes Guide includes:
- A leveling guide that actually includes copious amounts of pictures and step-by-step instructions so you never have to worry about where to go next.
- Complete class guides for EVERY calling. Get info on the best builds for all types so you can always play at your best. You will not have to get a separate guide if you want to play a new calling – everything is included.
- A beginners’ guide and user-interface guide which will eliminate any headaches or growing pains from adapting to a new RPG. The guide shows you how to fully customize your UI, find locations on the map, and covers all the basics so you should know how to do anything you want in game. They also manage to cut all the fluff and condense all the info in a guide that only takes you minutes to go over so you don’t feel like you are reading an instruction manual.

The other thing that sets Xerxes Guide part from the competition is value. For the same price (or more in some cases) other vendors want to sell you a leveling guide for a single faction, a builds guide for a single calling, and other partially complete products.
Given that you can create up to 6 characters per server, if you are like me you will be trying out multiple callings and trying out both sides of the game. Why would you want a competitor’s guide which only covered half of the game or only 1 of four classes?

All things considered, Xerxes Guide is the real deal. No other guide compares. Xerxes has everything you need to turn your game around. Get Xerxes Guide and stop getting lost, losing in PvP, and leveling up slower than your friends and start crushing the competition.
The bottom line is that if you want to have the best builds for every class, a leveling guide for both factions, and all around have a more enjoyable experience in Rift: Planes of Telara, then I strongly recommend Xerxes Guide.
